In My Mailbox - Christinabean and Curlypow November 8th

Curlypow - Ok, so this week both Christinabean and I have overflowing inboxes. I am so overwhelmed I don't know where to start. After my recent slump, I hope several of these will keep my interest. The Goblin Gate by Hilary Bell has been calling to me for quite some time, but then again so have Nightshade and Ice. I don't think I've read anything by Susan Juby or Amanda Marrone, so may'be I should start with one of them - but what about Janet McNaughton - her books 'The Secret Under my Skin' and 'An Earthly Knight' were really good. I think I'll just have to close my eyes and see which one my hand touches first on the bookshelf. Btw, they're all from the library - great haul eh! Check out what Christinabean scored this week.

Christinabean - I'm feeling pretty good today about being controlled in my book buying this week. Even though we attended the Cassandra Clare and Holy Black author signing, I only purchased a few books while at Chapters. I wanted to start reading The Modern Faerie Tales series so I purchased Tithe by Holly Black (and got it signed), Paranormalcy has been on my list for ages and I also bought Hush Hush. I currently have the ARC of Crescendo but since it has been such a long time since I last read Hush Hush, I felt I should re-read the book before diving into book #2....now only if I had a weekend entirely devoted to reading....

  1. They all look good, I've read 'Ice' i received a free copy of it from the publishers when it first came out, and after hesitating to read it, i picked it up and fell in love with it. The story is really gripping and i was hooked. Think you'll like it :D

  2. Both of you got some great books last week! Getting The Girl is a fun read that should make you laugh, and I've heard lots of great things about Nightshade! Paranormalcy was such a great debut author read, and the ending of Crescendo will leave you gasping for Tempest!

    Happy reading! :)
