Friday Blog Hop - September 2nd

Book Blogger Hop

In the spirit of the Twitter Friday Follow, the Book Blogger Hop is a place just for book bloggers and readers to connect and find new book-related blogs that we may be missing out on!  This weekly BOOK PARTY is an awesome opportunity for book bloggers to connect with other book lovers, make new friends, support each other, and generally just share our love of books!  It will also give blog readers a chance to find other book blogs that they may not know existed!

Each week, participating blogs are asked questions to post and answer on their websites.
This week’s question –

What are you most looking forward to this fall/autumn season – A particular book release? Halloween? The leaves changing color? Cooler temperatures? A vacation?

I always find spring and fall to be brutal months for me because I have seasonal allergies.  I have to admit that I do love the pretty colors in the fall.  The way the leaves turn yellow, orange and red always makes me feel a bit nostalgic about the summer.  I am really looking forward to this upcoming Halloween because it will be the first time my 3 year old will go out trick-or-treating.  I can't wait to see the look on her face as strangers dump candy into her bag and Mommy says its OK (just for today....)

Welcome to the Paperback Princesses! Make yourself at home, take a look around our blog and let us know what you think in the comments section. We would love to hear what you have to say about our posts. We often try to comment on your comments as well so feel free to start a conversation! Since there are two of us running the show, we always have a variety of titles and event postings. Be sure to check out our own personal meme page. Check out Fantastic Fairytales, Let's Hear it for the Boys, In Case you Missed it and a few others. We try to not only focus on new YA books but also great titles from the past.

  2. I remember my son's first Halloween. What a treat! Remember to take lots of photos.

Spring is hard for me, too, when everything, and I mean everything, is covered in yellow pollen. Yuck.

  3. This week’s question is perfect for Labor Day weekend with the “official” end of summer and all.

I’m all about fall! I love all four seasons and I’m sorry to see summer go (I hope to get in a few more swims in my pool) but I’m also amped up for Autumn.

    Why?

For most of the same reasons we all like autumn – fall foods, Halloween, the chill in the air, changing leaves and candy corn. But I’ve got a scary slant to why I’m angling for autumn. Hop on over to my book blog at http://www.howardsherman.net to read all about the murder, mayhem, seriously spooky stuff and even some BSP!

    Happy Labor Day Weekend!

  4. There is nothing more fun than a child's first Hallowe'en. It even beats first Christmas and first birthday because they understand the magic of the night.

  6. I'm sorry about your allergies. That really puts a damper on things. =(

Ah, I can't wait until my son can go trick-or-treating. He will only be 7 months when Halloween comes along. I might dress him up though, just to get some cute pictures of his first Halloween. =)

New follower! Great start to your blog!
