Follow Friday

Friday Follow is a blog hop that was started by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read.  Each week a different question is posted by our hosts and we wil answer!  This is a great opportunity for bloggers to network and interact.
This week’s question –

Share your favorite literary quote
The more you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go.
 - Dr. Seuss, "I Can Read With My Eyes Shut!"

Welcome to the Paperback Princesses! Make yourself at home, take a look around our blog and let us know what you think in the comments section. We would love to hear what you have to say about our posts. We often try to comment on your comments as well so feel free to start a conversation! Since there are two of us running the show, we always have a variety of titles and event postings. Be sure to check out our own personal meme page. Check out Fantastic Fairytales, Let's Hear it for the Boys, In Case you Missed it and a few others. We try to not only focus on new YA books but also great titles from the past.

  3. Dr. Seuss is a terrific choice. I didn't use it in my FF, but I have one of his quotes in my favorites:

“You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose. You're on your own. And you know what you know. And YOU are the one who'll decide where to go...”

  5. Hello!

I just found your blog & started following you, via "Feature & Follow." The question this week - my first week - was about preferred reading format, and while it was thoughtful & thought-provoking, I've got to say that I'm sad I missed the literary quote week!

I can't choose a favorite. The closest I've come is top three.

by Oscar Wilde (from "The Picture of Dorian Gray"):
"“There is no such thing as a moral or an immoral book. Books are well written, or badly written. That is all.”

by Margaret Atwood (one of you!):
"All stories are about wolves. All worth repeating, that is. Anything else is sentimental drivel."

by F. Scott Fitzgerald (from "The Crack-Up"):
"The test of a first-rate intelligence is the ability to hold two opposed ideas in the mind at the same time, and still retain the ability to function."

I'm excited to read your reviews :)

  6. Hello!

I just found your blog and started following you via "Feature & Follow." This was my first week, and while the question about preferred format was thoughtful and thought-provoking, I've got to say that I'm sorry I missed last week's! I think I would've had trouble narrowing it down to one quote, though. The closest I've come is top 3:

by Oscar Wilde (from "A Picture of Dorian Gray"):
"There is no such thing as a moral or immoral book. Books are either well written or badly written. That is all."

by Margaret Atwood (one of you! (from "The Blind Assassin"):
"All stories are about wolves. All worth repeating, that is. Anything else is sentimental drivel."

by F.Scott Fitzgerald (from "The Crack-Up"):
"The test of a first-rate intelligence is the ability to hold two opposed ideas in the mind at the same time, and still retain the ability to function."

I'm looking forward to reading your reviews!
