Summary:
In search of a future that may not exist and faced with the decision of who to share it with, Cassia journeys to the Outer Provinces in pursuit of Ky — taken by the Society to his certain death — only to find that he has escaped, leaving a series of clues in his wake.
Cassia’s quest leads her to question much of what she holds dear, even as she finds glimmers of a different life across the border. But as Cassia nears resolve and certainty about her future with Ky, an invitation for rebellion, an unexpected betrayal, and a surprise visit from Xander — who may hold the key to the uprising and, still, to Cassia’s heart — change the game once again. Nothing is as expected on the edge of Society, where crosses and double crosses make the path more twisted than ever.

Review:
Crossed is book #2 of the Matched trilogy. The problem with the second book in a series, any series, is that it is often hard to meet the high expectations set by book #1. Unfortunately, Crossed let me down. I just could not get into this book. After about 80 pages of wondering (what was I reading again?), I tossed in the towel. This story just didn't seem to hold the same kind of interest for me as book #1. The characters were not memorable and I felt like the storyline dragged on and on. If you are a huge fan of dystopia, you will probably enjoy this. If you spread yourself between different genres, you may find yourself feeling the same way I do. Sorry, Crossed. I'm just not into you. Time to re-visit my bookshelf....NEXT!!
I tried it as well and I don't think I even made it that far.
