This week’s question –

Question of the Week: What books are you most excited for in 2016? - Suggested by
Alison Can Read
I can't wait to read the new Dark Artifices series by Cassandra Clare. She is my favourite author.  This is the main book I have been waiting for in 2016.  Most of the series I have been following are wrapping up and are on my TBR list...I just haven't found the time to finish them up!

This week’s question –

If you could write a book what would it be about? – Suggested by Go Book Yourself.
I think my book would be a messed up romance.  Passionate, romantic, tragic with perhaps a bit of horror (ie maiming of bad characters).  And of course I would draw from personal experience and change one or two letters in the names as to create a purely fictional piece.  :)

What are the funniest books you’ve ever read?
A few of the funniest books I've read in the past 10 years include Size 12 is not Fat by Meg Cabot, The Undomestic Goddess by Sophie Kinsella, The Karma Club by Jessica Brody and Broken Hearts, Fences and other things to Mend by Katie Finn.  I would LOVE to hear about another fun book title though!

If you could re write a book which one would it be and what changes would you make? via  Go Book Yourself
There is a reason why I'm a book BLOGGER and not an author...if you haven't noticed, run on sentences are my friend.  I figure that if I use them generously on my own site, then I can say pretty much whatever I want until Curlypow complains.  However, if I absolutely MUST choose...I am currently reading the Rose Society right now and I think I would have made Adelina train more with the Dagger Society and explore her feelings better.  She seems a little off-kilter in Book #2.

I think I would time travel.  Maybe be an observer of significant events. Maybe change things in my life.  Maybe being able to slow down time would be cool....especially since my kid is growing up too quickly!!

Now hate is a pretty strong word....I wouldn't say I HATED this book but I didn't like it as much as I had anticipated....and I almost hate to tell most of you...because I really do like this author...but....
Fathomless by Jackson Pierce

This week’s question –

Pick three book characters… Kiss? Marry? Kill? via Watcha Reading

Oh! Oh! We played this game at the book signing with Cassandra Clare and Holly Black

Kiss
Daniel (Fallen Series by Lauren Kate)...because not only do I picture a hunky gorgeous guy....duh....who doesn't want their own personal hunky FALLEN ANGEL??!!
Marry
In keeping with supernatural blessed beings...I'm going to have to say that Jem from the Infernal Devices seems to be quite the keeper. Not only is he a "stand up" kinda guy...but man, does he have everlasting-romance skills!!
Kill
(I can't remember his name) The boy who started it all in the Falling Kingdoms series by Morgan Rhodes.  He is a spoiled pompous brat who decided to kill someone over a petty argument and his actions were the catalyst to a war that was waiting to happen.

I know...I know...many of you will be saying something related to books.  If I could have any job though, I would want to test out all-inclusive resorts.  In fact, I think I could be quite objective telling you EXACTLY what I think of the service as I order a mojito and apps while working poolside, testing the cushiness of the loungechairs and the directionality of my umbrella....

  2. Have you ever been to BEA and if so, what tips would you give your readers to make it the most enjoyable trip EVER?
  3. What do you do when your bookshelves get too crowded? Do you weed or buy more bookshelves?
  4. Do you lend your books to friends and family?

This week’s question –
Undiscovered talent – tell us about a book you loved but no one else seems to have heard of. It can be new or old, any genre. Let’s spread the love. – Suggested by Becky’s Barmy Book Blog.
There are three series that I would like to share that I don't feel enough people have read.  Firstly is The Body Finder series and The Pledge series by Kimberly Derting.  If you are looking for something suspenseful, these two series are great! The Pledge series has a bit of a fairytale feel to it but still fantastic.  The third series that I would highly recommend is the The Hunt by Andrew Fukuda.  This one took me by surprise and I'm sorry that more people haven't read it.  It is a new take on humans blending into a world made up of vampires.  Is it the prey trying to camouflage themselves in a world of predators.  A fascinating idea and VERY fast paced series. I LOVED it. (Good for guys too)
- Christinabean

Great choices Christinabean.  I'd like to add a couple to that list if I may.  If you haven't yet come across Page Morgan's 'Dispossessed' series  give it a try - gargoyles anyone?  So good.  Also the 'Penryn and the End of Days' series by Susan Ee.  This one is about fallen angels and hooked me from the get go.  Let us know if you decide to read any of them.

Name a movie you would have loved to read as a book ( That is not a book already obviously) – Suggested by Go Book Yourself.
Oooh! Another tricky question!  Some of my favorite movies are the ones that make me laugh out loud and I'm not entirely sure that it could translate the same way in a book. If it did, I would have liked to read Hitch and Addicted to Love.  I don't think either of them were books before the movie though.

If you could have any animal in the world as a pet, what would you pick? Fictional ones count too! – Suggested by Book Cat Pin.
This is a tough question for me because I recently saw this video and it was SO ADORABLE that it made me want a chameleon -

I REALLY like seahorses and dolphins
but then my rational side kicked in and I thought - I prefer cuddly furry creatures....kinda hard to hug creatures that live underwater and a chameleon...I'm kinda leaning towards a Luck Dragon right now...Like the one from the NeverEnding Story....

This week’s question –

What is your favorite movie? – Suggested by A Kernel of Nonsense.
I have a few favorite movies.  I'm not even sure WHY they are my favorites though but i'll try to explain...first off - Pretty in Pink with Molly Ringwald and Andrew McCarthy.  John Hughes just understood teenagers.  He represented all different genres of teens in his movies and I loved each and every character in this movie.

Next up, Charlie's Angels.  The remake with Drew Barrymore.  I LOVE Drew and Cameron.  This movie made me laugh out loud and was so much fun to see with my girlfriends.  Plus the soundtrack was awesome.  Girlpower. Do you see a theme here people?

Last but not least - Pride and Prejudice with Kiera Knightly.  I am not normally into period pieces but I love the nuances in this film.  How people imply and impose on one another. Again, another situation of a lower class female reaching up to strut her stuff with the upper classes.  LOVE IT.
