Friday Blog Hop - Friday October 29

Book Blogger Hop

In the spirit of the Twitter Friday Follow, the Book Blogger Hop is a place just for book bloggers and readers to connect and find new book-related blogs that we may be missing out on! This weekly BOOK PARTY is an awesome opportunity for book bloggers to connect with other book lovers, make new friends, support each other, and generally just share our love of books! It will also give blog readers a chance to find other book blogs that they may not know existed!

Each week, participating blogs are asked questions to post and answer on their websites.

This week’s question –

"What is the one bookish thing you would love to have, no matter the cost?"

I would love to have an entire room with built in bookcases/shelves.  I would also love to have my favourite book quotes written in different fonts and styles across the walls above the bookshelves.  Maybe I'd even organize them so that specific quotes denote different genres and their bookshelf locations.  Think of it as a personalized dewey decimal system...

I'm thinking that Curlypow would like a larger house to better display her collection...something with it's own personal library!  Oh but wait...a bigger house means more cleaning, right?
So welcome to The Paperback Princesses!  Please take a look around and make yourself at home.  If you check out the tabs at the top of the page, it will explain some of our memes, policies and contests we are following.  Curlypow and Christinabean both work in libraries and love to read.  We also love to chat about books.  We are an award-free blog because although we appreciate the love, we prefer comments so please feel free to tell us what you like (and don't like) about what we're writing.

Now for the best part...we are nearly at 125 followers and are so thrilled that we want to reward out followers with some SIGNED BOOKS!!  Please check out our Smart Chicks Kick It Aftermath post.  You must be a Google follower to enter and you can earn additional entries by tweeting (please include my ID @clderwee), blogging and adding us to a sidebar.  The contest runs all month long but is open to U.S. and Canadians only.  Sorry!  We are going to start with one signed book to give away and then for every 25 followers we get, we will add another signed book and another winner!  We will give away up to 7 signed books. You can find out more

  2. I'd love a room full of books, too, although I didn't say that in my post (it appears that a lot of us bloggers, unsurprisingly, would like that room full of books :)). I think the quotes from your favourite books would be a lovely touch! I actually write down really lovely lines on cards and tape them up on my walls, it's kinda inspiring to wake up to beautiful sentences :)

Hope you'll stop by my hop.

  7. It seems like wishing for a personal home library is such a popular choice! I have a friend who inked favorite quotes along the edges of her bookshelves. It looks really, really cool!
