Friday Blog Hop - November 5th

Book Blogger Hop

In the spirit of the Twitter Friday Follow, the Book Blogger Hop is a place just for book bloggers and readers to connect and find new book-related blogs that we may be missing out on! This weekly BOOK PARTY is an awesome opportunity for book bloggers to connect with other book lovers, make new friends, support each other, and generally just share our love of books! It will also give blog readers a chance to find other book blogs that they may not know existed!

Each week, participating blogs are asked questions to post and answer on their websites.

This week's question comes from Vicki who blogs at The Wolf's Den:

"What are your feelings on losing followers? Have you ever stopped following a blog?"

I think it's sad to lose followers but in reality, if you are not interested in what a blog is posting, you should probably move on. I think I can speak for Curlypow as well when I say that we love our followers and we do want people who are truly interested in the same kinds of books and craziness that goes on with The Paperback Princesses. I follow between 400-500 blogs and I do find that I stop following blogs when I start noticing that the posts are no longer applicable to my interests.

Make yourself at home, take a look around our blog and let us know what you think in the comments section. If you like it, please follow us on Google. We would love to hear what you have to say about our posts. Since there are two of us running the show, we always have a variety of titles and events we are commenting on.

Speaking of followers, please don't forget to check out our

We doing this blog and we want to thank our current followers and any new people who want to take the plunge and follow us as well. As most of you know, we went to an author signing back in September and got a ton of books signed by Alyson Noel, Melissa Marr, Kelley Armstrong, Jennifer Lynn Barnes, Melissa dela Cruz and Margaret Stohl (sadly Kami Garcia was unable to make it). You read about our interview here and the event here. Well, we also got some books for YOU! So we are starting out by giving away a signed Kelley Armstrong book (The Summoning) and for every 25 additional followers we receive, we will add another book to give away and another winner. It really is that simple. What's even better? As of right now, we are sitting at 145 followers, only 5 away from adding a second signed up and winner #2! Sign up as a Google Follower and fill out the entry form to qualify. Want more entries? Tweet (I even left you a copy and paste tweet), blog, add us to your sidebar and earn more chances to win. Good luck!

  1. Losing a follower is awful, but what's more important is having a loyal few followers who comment on almost every post and genuinely love what you have to say :)

New follower here. Just read your review of Rampant and SERIOUSLY need to read it soon. I don't know why I've been putting it off so long! Awesome review!

  2. I agree with you -- if someone didn't truly like what I was writing, it would be good for them to stop following -- and it might send a signal to me something was wrong.

Check out my blog hop post here.
