Follow Friday

Friday Follow is a blog hop that was started by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read.  Each week a different question is posted by our hosts and we will answer!  This is a great opportunity for bloggers to network and interact.

This week’s question – Q: When you step out of your USUAL genre what do you like to read? Best books in that genre?

My go-to genre would be fantasy.  I've been reading fantasy and fairytales since I was kneehigh to a grasshopper.  I often read out of my usual though, but when I do, it could be anything. Best books I've read recently out of my usual genre - that would be  Pushing the Limits (contemp); Texas Gothic (ghost story); Revolution (historical); Rot and Ruin (zombie) - I'm sure there are others, but the only ones I can think of are fantasy.

Welcome to the Paperback Princesses! Make yourself at home, take a look around our blog and let us know what you think in the comments section. We would love to hear what you have to say about our posts. We often try to comment on your comments as well so feel free to start a conversation! Since there are two of us running the show, we always have a variety of titles and event postings. Be sure to check out our own personal meme page. Check out Fantastic Fairytales, Let's Hear it for the Boys, In Case you Missed it and a few others. We try to not only focus on new YA books but also great titles from the past.

Dont forget to check out our giveaway for Tilt by Ellen Hopkins  You still have a couple of days to get lucky.

  4. Pushing the Limits and Texas Gothic are some of my favorite books that I have read this year. I can't wait until Rosemary Clement-Moore's book Spirit and Dust comes out next year.

  5. Hopping through. I loved Revolution. It kind of has a fantasy element to it.

  7. I LOVED Pushing the Limites! I've been reading more Contemporary Romances lately, but I guess adult fiction would be where I got the most out of my usual genre...

    1. Contemp is definitely out of the way of my usual reading, but I really enjoyed Pushing the Limits.
